Fiserv makes major deal, Verizon reveals Apple perk, Google cracks down on pranks

A big merger in the financial world. Fiserv is buying First Data in a $22 billion all-stock deal. Both companies provide the technology that connects banks and other financial providers. First Data's STAR network, is the backbone for nearly a third of all debit card transactions in the US.

Apple fans are about to get something for free from our parent company Verizon. The wireless carrier will be offering free access to Apple Music if you're subscribed to one of the heavy data plans. That includes "beyond unlimited" and "above unlimited". New "go unlimited" subscribers will still get a six-month free trial.

Google's YouTube is trying to crack down on dangerous pranks. The site has updated its guidelines to quote "make it clear" that videos of dangerous challenges and pranks are not welcome. The announcement comes a day after a teenager crashed while trying to drive with a blindfold on in what's become known as the "Bird Box challenge".

Roku is changing its mind on Infowars. The streaming platform has now deleted the Infowars channel days after adding it. Roku faced a growing backlash over the decision to add the Alex Jones service to its platform. Apple, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter have all blocked Infowars as well.

Comcast's NBC Universal back in the spotlight this morning. Longtime broadcaster Bob Costas says he's leaving NBC sports after 40 years. The network is also considering pulling "The Office" from Netflix as it looks to launch its own streaming service in 2020. "The Office" is one of Netflix's most popular shows.
