Correction: Edgewater Wireless Expands High-Density Wi-Fi Product Line with Six-Channel Access Point

High quality of service no longer out of reach in high-density applications

OTTAWA, ON / ACCESSWIRE / March 24, 2015 / Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. (TSX-V:YFI.V - News), the manufacturer of multi-channel WiFi3tm technology for high-density WiFi applications, today announced the new WiFi3tm powered EAP3033, the industry's first dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz) multi-channel access point (AP) delivering six concurrent channels from a single unit. Ideal for high-density Wi-Fi applications such as airports, convention centers, campuses and stadiums, the EAP3033 provides an easy way to provide a high quality-of-service (QoS) to hundreds of concurrent users in a small service area with single unit.

Like a single lane road, traditional Wi-Fi solutions rely on single channel architecture, making them susceptible to congestion particularly in high-density environments. Using standards compliant Wi-Fi, Edgewater's patented WiFi3tm technology enables multiple, concurrent channels per radio and, like a multi-lane superhighway, WiFi3 dramatically improves end user quality of service in high-density Wi-Fi applications.

Using a patented approach to mitigate Adjacent Channel Interference (ACI) and Co-Channel Interference (CCI), WiFi3tm powered solutions deliver the highest channel density on the market today while offering advanced carrier-class capabilities including integrated, real-time spectral monitoring, known as Spectral Surveillance Architecture (SSA). These and other aspects of Edgewater's WiFi3tm feature-set dramatically reduce operating expenses (OPEX) for carriers and large enterprises alike.
