The 2019-20 PSL season is set to resume on August 8, the league's board of governors reportedly resolved on Monday.
The held an urgent meeting with its 32-member clubs where the decision was taken to go ahead and complete the suspended campaign.
Furthermore, the league and its members proposed that the campaign be concluded by no later than September 8.
All the remaining matches, including National First Division (NFD) games, as previously confirmed by the PSL, will be played in Gauteng.
There are 14 stadiums earmarked by the PSL as training venues while competitive matches will take place at 11 different stadiums across the province.
Competitive football in the country has been suspended since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Things became more complicated when the South African government introduced the lockdown in March and, subsequently, all sport-related activities were halted indefinitely.
Both the South African Football Association (Safa) and the PSL have had back and forth discussions over the past four months - and at times, the two organisations failed to find common ground.
