Consumer Reports Cars Launches Facebook Page

Consumer Reports Cars Launches Facebook Page

Shifting our social endeavors into overdrive, the Consumer Reports Cars team has launched its own Facebook page at: facebook.com/consumerreportscars. While the main Consumer Reports Facebook page has more than a half million followers, the posts there span the full gamut of the organization’s testing and advocacy. Through this new channel, we can cater to the specific needs of car buyers and enthusiasts.

We kicked off this page with our first CR Cars Minute, a 60-second Facebook-native video that shares highlights from the test track. Our goal is to post these weekly, providing followers with a behind-the-scenes look at the Auto Test Center, including tests underway, latest cars to join the fleet, and much more. Plus, we will be doing Facebook Live videos, starting with a walkaround tour of the Honda Ridgeline on Friday.

Each week, we will post our latest car reviews, test insights, and news from the track, including spotlighting the latest cars we have rented from manufacturers (typically before they are on sale) and those we have purchased. We look forward to seeing your comments and answering questions about these vehicles, as well as feedback on what you would like to see on our Facebook page.

Next month we will take interaction to the next level by inviting followers to the test track for a tour and a chance to engage the team as we film episode 100 of the “Talking Cars with Consumer Reports” video podcast. (Watch episode 98 for full details.)
