Company News for August 15, 2016

•    Shares of J C Penney Company Inc (JCP) soared 6.1% after the company posted second quarter loss per share of $0.05, narrower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.15.

•    Shares of Nordstrom, Inc. (JWN) surged 8% after the company said that it expects its fiscal 2016 earnings per share in the range of $2.60–$2.75, up from $2.50–$2.70 projected earlier.

•    Shares of Silicon Graphics International Corp (SGI) jumped 28.6% after Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co (HPE) agreed to acquire Silicon Graphics for around $275 million.

•    BioScrip Inc’s (BIOS) shares dropped 0.7% after the company posted second quarter loss per share of $0.08, wider than the year-ago loss of $0.02.
