Companies to Watch: Infineon buys U.S. rival, Goldman Sachs makes a deal, Blackstone buys Amazon warehouses

Here are the companies Yahoo Finance is watching today.

A big tech deal to start the week. Germany's Infineon (IFX.DE) is buying California-based Cypress Semiconductors (CY) in a deal valued at about $10 billion. Cypress is a leader in creating chips for connected devices for everything from cars to wearable tech. But the deal could run into regulatory issues since Infineon is based overseas.

Goldman Sachs (GS) is also cutting a deal on this merger Monday. Its West Street Capital Partners fund is buying Capital Vision Services for a reported $2.7 billion. Capital Vision runs My Eye Doctor optometry centers, and gives support services to independent eye doctors across the country.

The Blackstone Group (BX) is becoming Amazon's new landlord. Blackstone just struck a nearly $19 billion deal to buy a network of warehouses from Singapore-based GLP. Many of those warehouses are used as Amazon fulfillment centers. The deal is the biggest private real estate transaction in history and makes Blackstone one of the largest owners of logistics facilities in the country.

Google (GOOG) experienced some network problems for several hours over the weekend. Gmail, YouTube and other services were temporarily disrupted yesterday by what the company said were "high levels of network congestion." Google said the problems were not caused by a cyberattack and that they had been resolved for all users.

Sephora (MC.PA) is shutting down its U.S. stores to conduct diversity training for its employees. The makeup company said it will close its stores, distribution centers and corporate offices this Friday June 5, to host the inclusion workshops. The move comes after R&B singer Sza said she was racially profiled at a store in Calabasas, California.
