Russian drone may have breached Romanian air space during overnight attack on Ukraine
A Russian drone may have breached the national airspace of NATO member Romania for "a very brief period of under three minutes" overnight during an attack on neighbouring Ukraine, the Romanian defence ministry said on Friday. The drone attack on the southern Ukrainian town of Izmail, just across the Danube river from Romania, killed three people and injured 14, Odesa regional prosecutors said on Friday. The Ukrainian air force said it had shot down 24 of 32 drones.

Seven in 10 tailgaters look forward to tailgating season just as much, if not more, than the holiday season, according to new research. A survey of 2,000 adults looked at sentiments around tailgating and found that for many, tailgating is the best part, as a quarter have attended a tailgate without even having tickets to the game it was associated with (24%). Similarly, 22% have attended a tailgate where they had tickets to the game, but stayed at the tailgate instead. This year, nearly a third of respondents plan on attending a tailgate (29%). Conducted by Talker Research in partnership with The Finnish Long Drink, the survey explored what the perfect tailgating experience would look like. On average, respondents believe that tailgates should begin two hours before the game starts, leaving about an hour to spend with fellow game-watchers beforehand. Timeliness is especially important for the 36% who think it’s rude to show up after the game has already started.

A new global survey found that nearly half of respondents have fallen victim to a cyberattack or scam. In a poll of 20,000 employed adults from around the world, 45% reported that their personal data, such as banking or email account information, has been compromised by a hacking attempt or scam. In fact, almost half admitted that they’re reactive to cyber threats, rather than proactively protecting against them, in their personal lives (45%) and at work (44%). And according to respondents, online scams and phishing attempts have become more sophisticated (72%) and successful (66%) due to artificial intelligence. In time for Cybersecurity Awareness month in October, Yubico commissioned the global survey, with respondents from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Japan, Poland, Singapore, France, Germany and Sweden, to investigate the global impact of cyber insecurity, both personally and in the corporate realm.
