LIMA (Reuters) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Canada's Foreign Minister Melanie Joly on Friday that Canada should cancel tariffs on Chinese products, according to Chinese state media.

Wang also said that Canada's 100% tariff on electric vehicles made in China, which came into effect last month, was "not conducive to the healthy development of economic and trade cooperation between both countries," CCTV quoted him as saying.

The meeting between both countries' foreign ministers took place on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC) summit.
