Chick-Fil-A is offering a new Quinoa Bowl and it’s blowing our minds
When you’re craving some fried chicken and want it like, right then and there, there’s no better place to go than Chick-Fil-A, am I right? The fast food chain, known for its super clever “Eat Mor Chikin” campaign and delectable, easy-to-grab-on-the-go food, looks like it’s trying to reach a healthier demographic with their latest menu additions.
Starting today in San Francisco, Sacramento, Tampa, and Huntsville, Alabama, the chicken chain will offer a Harvest Kale & Grain Bowl and also an Egg White Grill Grain Bowl at select locations. If the new menu items are well-received, we can expect to see a nationwide release by 2018.
According to Chick-Fil-A’s official press release, the Harvest Kale & Grain Bowl features “a hearty blend of red quinoa, white quinoa and farro, roasted butternut squash and diced apples on a fresh bed of chopped kale. It is topped with a goat and feta cheese blend and tart dried cherries and served with a blend of roasted nuts (walnuts, almonds and pecans) and new Light Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing.”
The new Egg White Grain Bowl sounds just as tempting, and because it’s breakfast and breakfast foods rule the world, I’m gonna go ahead and say I’m gonna try this bowl out when I get the chance! It contains ” the same grain blend of red quinoa, white quinoa and farro, as along with scrambled egg whites, grilled chicken and a Monterey jack/cheddar cheese blend.”
Okay, okay, who’s down to go on a road trip to San Fran to test these babies out?
