Chicago-Style Hot Dogs Go National: Hear From Portillo’s President & CEO in Fireside Chat

IPO Edge and the Palm Beach Hedge Fund Association hosted a fireside chat at the 2022 ICR Conference with the President & CEO of Portillo’s Hot Dogs, LLC (Nasdaq: PTLO) to discuss the overall business, unique differentiators of the Portillo’s brand, a business model marrying fast-casual with multichannel convenience, and resilience in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. The event featured Portillo’s President & CEO Michael Osanloo joined by IPO Edge Editor-at-Large Jarrett Banks in a moderated video session lasting approximately 15 minutes.

About Portillo’s
In 1963, Dick Portillo invested $1,100 into a small trailer to open the first Portillo’s hot dog stand in Villa Park, IL, which he called “The Dog House.” Years later, Portillo’s has grown to include restaurants in 69 locations across nine states. Portillo’s is best known for its Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, fresh salads and famous chocolate cake. Portillo’s Home Kitchen is the company’s fast-growing catering business. Portillo’s also ships food to all 50 states via its website.

About the Speaker:

Michael Osanloo is the President and CEO at Portillo’s, where he is responsible for overall brand strategy, business performance, and the Company’s growth across new states and markets. In 2019, Michael was named one of 10 business leaders that could change Chicago’s business world. Prior to joining Portillo’s, Michael was CEO at P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Inc. and served as Executive Vice President and President of Grocery at Kraft. Michael obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and his MBA from the University of Chicago.
