Ubiquitous celebrity chef Michael Symon is selling his historic townhouse in New York City’s West Village for $5.8 million.

The home, built in 1899, has three bedrooms and three baths. Measuring 2,661 square feet and spanning four levels, it features five fireplaces, walnut floors, 10-foot ceilings, exposed beams, and a patio.

The second-floor master suite has a dressing room, and the master bath has heated floors. The third floor boasts a media room, wet bar, and guest suite. Located below the main level, the kitchen is on the small side, but it looks like a glorious place to cook and hang out.

Symon purchased the place in April 2015 for $5.14 million. The chef’s proposed sale price isn’t beyond the norm for the area. The current median list price in the 10014 ZIP code is $4.6 million.

Symon, who describes his cooking style as “meat-centric,” is a jovial member of ABC’s midday cooking show, “The Chew,” and the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.” Symon has been hailed as a savior of downtown Cleveland’s restaurant scene, where he opened his flagship restaurant Lola.
