Investing.com - Check Point Software reported on Monday fourth quarter earnings that beat analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Check Point Software announced earnings per share of $2.02 on revenue of $543.8M. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $1.99 on revenue of $543.27M. That with comparison to EPS of $1.68 on revenue of $525.56M in the same period a year before. Check Point Software had reported EPS of $1.44 on revenue of $490.91M in the previous quarter. Analysts are expecting EPS of $1.45 and revenue of $490.53M in the upcoming quarter.

Check Point Software shares are up 3.02% from the beginning of the year , still down 13.89% from its 52 week high of $132.75 set on April 16, 2019. They are outperforming the Nasdaq 100 which is up 2.15% year to date.

Check Point Software's report follows an earnings beat by Apple on January 28, who reported EPS of $4.99 on revenue of $91.82B, compared to forecasts EPS of $4.54 on revenue of $88.51B.

Microsoft had beat expectations on Wednesday with second quarter EPS of $1.51 on revenue of $36.91B, compared to forecast for EPS of $1.05 on revenue of $32,512M.
