The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Future
Notably, that recent purchase by CEO & Executive Director Zillah Byng-Thorne was not the only time they bought Future shares this year. They previously made an even bigger purchase of UK£108k worth of shares at a price of UK£11.84 per share. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (UK£17.92), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because it occurred at a lower valuation, it doesn't tell us much about whether insiders might find today's price attractive.
In the last twelve months Future insiders were buying shares, but not selling. The average buy price was around UK£14.20. We don't deny that it is nice to see insiders buying stock in the company. But we must note that the investments were made at well below today's share price. Does Future Boast High Insider Ownership?
Another way to test the alignment between the leaders of a company and other shareholders is to look at how many shares they own. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. It appears that Future insiders own 0.5% of the company, worth about UK£9.1m. While this is a strong but not outstanding level of insider ownership, it's enough to indicate some alignment between management and smaller shareholders.
So What Do The Future Insider Transactions Indicate?
It's certainly positive to see the recent insider purchases. And the longer term insider transactions also give us confidence. On this analysis the only slight negative we see is the fairly low (overall) insider ownership; their transactions suggest that they are quite positive on Future stock.
