(Win McNamee/Getty Images) Carly Fiorina said Hillary Clinton "is not trustworthy."

Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, officially entered the race for the Republican presidential nomination on Monday.

Fiorina, 60, is the first top tier female Republican candidate to launch a presidential campaign. She used her announcement to take shots at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the dominant Democratic in the race, and other contenders she described as part of the "professional political class."

"Hillary Clinton's going to have more money than anybody. That's just a fact," she said of the former Secretary of State in a press call Monday morning.

"We won't raise the most money," she conceded, but added that her campaign will raise "sufficient" funds and promised her team will spend money wisely.

Fiorina also weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding Clinton, that the Clinton's charitable foundation accepted donations from foreign governments. She blasted former President Bill Clinton for his staunch defense of the foreign funds.

"I think that Bill Clinton is saying what Hillary Clinton has said on many occasions, 'just trust us.'"

"Trust is earned through transparency ... they have not been particularly transparent on a whole host of things," Fiorina said.

Fiorina is expected to face a tough challenge in the GOP primary, as she faces more well-known Senators and Governors in the likely GOP primary field.

"I think we have time," she said, confident she will be able to gain national name recognition and build momentum.

Fiorina announced her campaign on Twitter Monday morning, followed by an interview on "Good Morning America."

"I think I am the best person for the job," she said on the ABC morning show.

Fiorina previously ran unsuccessfully against Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-California) for the U.S. Senate in 2010.
