Alimentation Couche-Tard (TSX: ATD.A) (TSX: ATD.B) has signed a deal with Canopy Growth (TSX: WEED) (NYSE: CGC) to launch a premium cannabis retail brand in London, Ontario. Located at 1025 Wellington Road in London, the licensed Tweed store is expected to open in April.

Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana (CFAMM), a federal non-profit, patient-run organization dedicated to protecting the rights of medical cannabis patients, is urging the public to support medical cannabis users by signing the petition on the National Assembly website asking the Government of Quebec to include an exemption in Bill 2 that will allow medical cannabis patients to medicate anywhere the consumption of tobacco is authorized. The bill aims to ban the use of cannabis in all public places across the province.

Cannabis wellness firm Gabriella’s Kitchen (CSE: GABY) (OTCMKTS:GABLF) has entered into a supply agreement to purchase CBD extract from Xtract Xperts, which is the largest producer of hemp in Oregon. According to a December 2018 Hemp Business Journal article, the hemp-derived CBD market would grow from a $390 million in 2018 to a $1.3 billion market by 2022.

Aurora Cannabis (NYSE: ACB) (TSX: ACB) has named Darren Karasiuk as chief commercial officer. Previously, Karasiuk was executive vice president adult usage, global. Additionally, the company has promoted Jill Swainson to chief legal officer and corporate secretary of the company from senior vice president of legal affairs.
