Burger King Dresses Up as Ghost of McDonald's for Halloween, Complete With Matching Food Packaging

What's spookier than going into your local Burger King, and realize you're in for a McDelight?

That's the sort of fright this Burger King in New York is trying to instill in their customers by dressing their entire restaurant up as the ghost of McDonald's.

A giant sheet was draped over the Rego Park location in Queens, with the words "McDonald's" spray painted on top. Mimicking a typical sheet ghost costume, "eye holes" were cut out toward the top, with iconic golden arches above each cut out. From the "eye holes" revealed the haunting words, "Burger King."

Fog machines installed by the entrance of the restaurant paired with the wind gave the costume an extra ghastly effect.

But, have no fear! Burger King's sign, visible just below the sheet, read: "Just kidding, we still flame grill our burgers."

As proof, they even packaged their burgers in pseudo McDonald's boxes, including the faux golden arches, and cut outs revealing their own logo.

In a statement to InsideEdition.com, McDonald's quipped back, "Who wouldn't want to masquerade as McDonald's for Halloween when we are serving up treats like McCafe beverages, apple pies, and our world famous fries."
