Carabao Cup semi-finalists Brentford will be looking to continue their FA Cup run when they host Leicester in the fourth round on Sunday.

The Bees knocked out four Premier League teams in the lesser of the two domestic cup competitions before falling to Tottenham in the semi-final and will be hoping to claim a fifth top-flight scalp of the season.

These two teams met at the same stage of last season’s competition, with the Foxes running out 1-0 winners in what would prove the final FA Cup tie held at Griffin Park.

This season, both clubs have other priorities, with Brentford pushing for automatic promotion and Leicester well in the Premier League title race.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brentford vs Leicester is scheduled for a 2:30pm kick-off on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

The game will be played behind closed doors at the Brentford Community Stadium because of current coronavirus restrictions.

How to watch

TV channel: The match will be shown live on BT Sport 1.

Live stream: Subscribers can stream the match live on the BT Sport website and app.

Team news

Thomas Frank is likely to rotate his side, with the Bees facing a hectic Championship fixture list following two Covid postponements earlier this month.

Top scorer Ivan Toney is suspended after being sent off late on in the midweek win over Luton Town.

Leicester will also be without their own leading scorer after Brendan Rodgers confirmed Jamie Vardy will be out for a few weeks after undergoing a minor hernia operation.

Prediction: Brentford 1-2 Leicester

Both teams understandably have attentions elsewhere but Leicester’s squad depth could be the decisive factor, particularly with several players returning from injury, most notably Ricardo Pereira.
