Yahoo Finance BlackBerry KEYone available for pre-order in Canada
Starting today, Canadian BlackBerry fans can pre-order the upcoming KEYone device from BlackBerry.
In a nod to what made BlackBerry so initially successful, the KEYone has a physical keyboard, but with “smart” features, such as the ability to scroll by running your thumb over the keyboard.
The device also features a 4.5-inch touchscreen, backlit keyboard, aluminium body and Android’s “Nougat” operating system.
While there is some debate as to whether the phone is a must-buy or a device to skip, on the whole the phone has been well-reviewed, which is good for TCL Communications, the company that began licensing the BlackBerry brand back in December. This is the first BlackBerry device TCL has made.
Starting today, Rogers customers can reserve the device through the Consumer, Small Business or Enterprise portals on the website. The price ranges based on the contract you sign, from $0 with a two-year contract, to $679 without a term contract. Similar pricing is available if you reserve a device through Bell, Bell MTS or SaskTel, too.
The KEYone launches in Canada on May 31.
