Bill Prady Buys Another Toluca Lake Mansion (EXCLUSIVE)

It was real estate yenta Yolanda Yakketyyak from whom we first heard, and property records do indeed confirm, five-time Emmy nominated writer-producer Bill Prady has shelled out a smidgen under $5.1 million for a stately manse on one of the more desirable streets in Los Angeles’ historic and historically affluent Toluca Lake community. Built in 1935, expanded in 2007, and cosmetically refreshed in 2015, the straightlaced Georgian Colonial comes in at nearly 7,900 square feet, with nine bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. Classic black-and-white marble checkerboard floors in the foyer lead to formal living and dining rooms — the former with fireplace, the latter with French doors — along with a knotty pine-paneled library, separate office and a colossal kitchen that opens to a combination dining/family room. A paneled den with fireplace shares the second floor with a master suite that’s replete with sitting area, fireplace, balcony, two huge walk-in closets, and a sumptuously appointed if unimaginatively all-beige bathroom with garden tub set into a bay window. A central courtyard with dining terrace, outdoor fireplace, and built-in grilling station wraps around to a trellis-shaded patio that takes in a broad view of the swimming pool and spa, a flat expanse of lawn, and a half-court basketball court. Additional creature comforts include home automation, a refrigerated wine cellar in the basement, and a massive attic for storage.

Prady, the co-creator of the stupendously successful sitcom “The Big Bang Theory,” won’t have to schlep his belongings very far, as he already owns another, nearly 10,000-square-foot mansion less than a mile away that was purchased in May 2013 from Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli for an angel’s breath less than $4 million.
