Better Business Bureau warns of fake inauguration gear sold online

Buyer beware: That merchandise you are looking to purchase in commemoration of the inauguration of President Joe Biden might be fake.

The Better Business Bureau is warning about gear tied to the inauguration that's not authentic as well as vendors accepting payments for items that never arrive.

"There will be plenty of look-alike, counterfeit merchandise that resembles the official gear," says the agency in a statement. "Look out for red flags, such as significantly lower pricing and poor-quality images."

The BBB advises purchasing inauguration merchandise directly from the official Presidential Inaugural Committee Store.
