Best party tops for your post-lockdown life

 (Zara)
(Zara)

If we had to describe our collective outfits from the past year, the word ‘party’ wouldn’t even feature in our vernacular.

‘Repetitive’, ‘comfortable’ and ‘uninspired’ seem far more fitting, but that has led many of us to forget the art of celebratory dressing. While we’re all for comfort, it has no place in your post-lockdown party life. We have much to celebrate and it deserves something more show-stopping - whether its belated birthday celebrations from the past year, putting our housebound lives in our rear-view, or simply the end to a long week.

There’s a lot to be said for jeans and a nice top. The perennially chic combination will stand you in good stead whether you are hosting, heading to a beer garden, or making up for lost time.

It’s time that we start taking the Roaring Twenties seriously - sartorially speaking - with partywear to put Gatsby to shame. Pair the pieces below with jeans a la classic styling, well-tailored black trousers, leather trousers for the risk-averse and with an oversized blazer for our favourite look this season and beyond.

Stock up on the reliable party-ready tops and take the stress out of dressing up.

Zara Satin Crop Top
