These Are The Best Cities For Keeping Your New Year's Resolutions

From ELLE DECOR

We all know that the first week of the year doesn't really count, but if you find yourself struggling to follow through on your resolutions beyond that, your city could be to blame.

Trulia used neighborhood amenity data from Yelp, statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau, and real estate trends from their own site to determine where people are most and least likely to lose weight, stick to a budget, and find love – some of the most common resolutions - and the results are pretty surprising.

Check out what they found in the maps below.

Who would have guessed that Virginia Beach, VA is the best place to eat healthy and lose weight? There are more health food stores, weight-loss centers, fitness centers, and parks per 10,000 people there than anywhere else. Take that, West Coast! Equally unexpected? Exercise-happy Los Angeles is actually one of the worst cities to stay fit based on Trulia's Health Index.

Head to Winston-Salem, NC, if your trying to stick to a budget this year. Rent is reasonable there, and discount stores and financial services run aplenty. Shocker: The suburbs of Los Angeles, New York, and Boston aren't a good place to pinch pennies.

If you've got a long list of ex-lovers, consider trying your luck in San Francisco, where there are lots of singles and places to meet 'em. And, if you're really looking to be romanced, look for love in Louisiana – two cities there top Trulia's list.
