Bella Hadid is on the search for a 'hero' photographer who tried to help her after she lost her footing and fell over at New York Fashion Week.

On Thursday, the 24-year-old model shared two throwback photos of her falling over during her catwalk appearance at the 2016 Michael Kors fashion show at NYfW. The Instagram Stories show the then 19-year-old runway star tripping in her black beaded ensemble and high platform heels and a photographer reaching out in an attempt to break her fall.

Although the initial shock from the incident is sure to have dissipated for the model five years on, it appears Hadid is now wanting to find out the name of the photographer who tried to help her, while others watched on.

'Can someone please help me find this man, [sic]' she captioned a photo from the catwalk incident, using a line to indicate which photographer she's enquiring about.

'God bless his soul, I want to thank him personally for being the only one to offer me a hand during a time of need, [sic]' she added.

The NYC-based star also shared a close up image of the photographer reaching out his hand, this time with a sweet crown emoji placed on his head.

The model reportedly tweeted about her fall following the 2016 incident and credited her dancing skills for her misstep.

'Guys I'm a professional break dancer now I forgot to tell u, [sic]' she wrote in a now deleted Twitter post, according to E! News.

The Dior Beauty model's older sister, Gigi Hadid, also took a tumble during fashion month that year, during the finale of the Mugler show at Paris Fashion Week.

The then-21-year-old supermodel recovered quickly after slipping on the runway during the show, like the professional she is. A year later, the sisters walked together after the elder Hadid - who is now a mother to daughter Khai - lost a shoe at the Anna Sui catwalk at NYFW.

A similar incident took place during the Marc Jacobs SS20 show at London Fashion Week in September 2019 (Hadid was forced to walk barefoot because the heel of her white clogs broke backstage) and again last January ahead of the Chanel Haute Couture show during a rehearsal with her fellow catwalk models.

‘G morning’ Gigi,’ model HyunJi Shin captioned a video of Hadid with a broken heel.

Due to the recent arrival of her newborn with partner Zayn Malik, the 25-year-old has sat the current fashion month season out. Meanwhile, it's unknown whether her younger sister will be returning to the catwalk this month.
