Bella Hadid has had to shut down rumours that she isn’t vaccinated, after fans asked why she didn’t attend Monday’s Met Gala.

The 24-year-old model is a staple on every runway, so when she didn’t show with her sister Gigi at the fashion event, rumours circulated that she’d said no to the vaccine, forcing her to hit back at these claims.

On Monday, celebrities attending fashion’s biggest event had to follow the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s guidelines, which require all visitors to show proof of at least one vaccine dose.

When Nicki Minaj confirmed she didn’t attend the Gala because she questioned the Covid-19 vaccine, which led to a surreal exchange with Boris Johnson, many people asked if Bella had done the same.

But Bella took to Instagram stories on Wednesday to post a picture of herself being jabbed, disproving any rumours that she had refused the vaccine.

‘For anyone concerned,’ she wrote across an image taken in August where a medic is about to inject her as she wears a black facemark and grey sweater.

Her vaccine status was also put in doubt as fans recalled when her younger brother Anwar publicly refused to take the jab.

Although he’s since clarified that he’s not anti-vaxx, back in December he said he would ‘absolutely not’ get the vaccine.

After the Nicki Minaj vaccine saga, and with almost half of Americans still unvaccinated, are all celebrities going to have to open up about their status from now on?
