While there’s a certain pride to be taken in mixing the perfect cocktail from scratch, sometimes you just want a quality drink at the push of a button. Enter: The Bartesian premium cocktail machine. There was a ton of hype around the Bartesian mid-quarantine, so we decided to test it out and see if it was truly worth the price tag. While we were initially skeptical of the pod concept, we were highly impressed with the overall quality of the cocktails we sampled, sans for the Long Island iced tea. Parenting writer Janelle Randazza noted, “These capsules create drinks that are completely in step with a cocktail you’d get at a good bar. They don’t use any artificial colors or sweeteners, so what you are getting from each pod are real bitters, extracts and juice concentrates.”
We also loved how easy this cocktail maker was to use. It gives you the option to customize your drinks in a couple of different ways (you can customize the strength of the pour and choose your preferred alcohol), so if you’re someone who likes your beverages a certain way, you don’t completely lose the ability to put your own spin on your drink. For me, the idea of never having to settle for a margarita with anything but my favorite tequila, for instance, is really appealing.
Another positive is that the single-serving pods are recyclable—something that's great news if you’re trying to reduce single-use plastic waste.
