Should Ayro (NASDAQ:AYRO) Be Disappointed With Their 99% Profit?

These days it's easy to simply buy an index fund, and your returns should (roughly) match the market. But you can significantly boost your returns by picking above-average stocks. For example, the Ayro, Inc. (NASDAQ:AYRO) share price is up 99% in the last year, clearly besting the market return of around 39% (not including dividends). That's a solid performance by our standards! Ayro hasn't been listed for long, so it's still not clear if it is a long term winner.

Check out our latest analysis for Ayro

Because Ayro made a loss in the last twelve months, we think the market is probably more focussed on revenue and revenue growth, at least for now. Shareholders of unprofitable companies usually expect strong revenue growth. As you can imagine, fast revenue growth, when maintained, often leads to fast profit growth.

In the last year Ayro saw its revenue grow by 136%. That's stonking growth even when compared to other loss-making stocks. The solid 99% share price gain goes down pretty well, but it's not necessarily as good as you might expect given the top notch revenue growth. If that's the case, now might be the time to take a close look at Ayro. Human beings have trouble conceptualizing (and valuing) exponential growth. Is that what we're seeing here?

A Different Perspective

Ayro shareholders should be happy with the total gain of 99% over the last twelve months. We regret to report that the share price is down 3.9% over ninety days. Shorter term share price moves often don't signify much about the business itself. It's always interesting to track share price performance over the longer term. But to understand Ayro better, we need to consider many other factors. Consider for instance, the ever-present spectre of investment risk. We've identified 3 warning signs with Ayro (at least 1 which can't be ignored) , and understanding them should be part of your investment process.

Of course, you might find a fantastic investment by looking elsewhere. So take a peek at this free list of companies we expect will grow earnings.
