Are these the worst real estate agent photos EVER?

Some agents are more than happy to eschew camera trickery and clever angling to present a warts and all representation of a property

All too often home hunters are faced with a property that appeared far superior in estate agent photos than in reality.

However, some are more than happy to eschew camera trickery and clever angling to present a warts and all representation of a property.

And a popular blog Terrible real estate agent photographs is showcasing the worst examples with droll captions to make you wonder how anyone ever thought the images would help sell a home.

The site now gets 100,000 unique visitors a day, as the photos strike a chord with people across the world.

The founder Andy Donaldson decided to start the blog after window-shopping for a home.

"I was struck by the number of hopelessly incompetent photographs that house-hunters had to rely on. Most of them were as funny as they were bad, which is why I thought they might be worth sharing."

Posted below are a few examples complete with the blog's commentary.

If he still hasn’t finished his crossword he comes with the house.

The worst thing about this is the fact that he looks as if he's about to get in.

A rare example from the Belgian surrealist school of performance artist estate agents, who work wearing only their underpants.

Throughout the history of real estate agent photography, one iconic image of isolation and despair presents itself repeatedly. It has become known as the Garden Chair of Solitude.

Further examples.

1. Take a standard bedroom shot. 2. Superimpose stock imagery of a laughing woman.
3. Ask yourself why you thought that was in any way necessary.

At the other end of the street is a far larger property which you can’t afford.

So, how long has this place been on the market?

In tribute to mime artists the world over, I publish this without comment.
