Apogee Announces Management Changes and Provides Corporate Update

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 2, 2014) - Apogee Silver Ltd. ("Apogee" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:APE) announces that it has received and accepted the resignation of Neil Ringdahl, Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Ringdahl is departing the Company in order to pursue new opportunities, however, he will continue to assist Apogee to ensure an orderly transition.

The Company has appointed Jennifer Wagner, a corporate securities lawyer and current Corporate Secretary of the Company as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective today. Ms. Wagner has been working as legal consultant and Corporate Secretary to various publicly traded companies in the mining industry since 2008. Prior to 2008, Ms. Wagner practiced securities law at a large Toronto law firm. Ms. Wagner obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor and received a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.

Ms. Wagner will utilize her knowledge of the Company to work with management to implement a turnaround plan for Apogee in the coming months. The restructuring plan involves the proposed share consolidation to be approved by shareholders at the Company's upcoming annual and special general meeting on June 17th, 2014; the settlement of certain debts relating to accounts payable; and the reduction of current expenditures.
