If you’re anything like us, you’re already pretty sold on anything Anya Taylor-Joy related (still fangirling over The Queen’s Gambit? Yeah, us too).

So you’ll be thrilled to hear that Taylor-Joy is the star of upcoming psychological horror flick, Last Night In Soho, which is already generating hype.

Here’s everything you need to know about the newest need-to-watch film (and book your cinema tickets ASAP).

What’s Last Night In Soho all about?

Don’t be fooled by the Sixties styling: a mix of drama, horror and thriller, it’s a tense watch.

Last Night In Soho stars Thomasin McKenzie as Eloise, a young woman with a passion for fashion design and an odd sixth sense, who finds herself transported back in time to the 1960s in the body of an iconic night club singer, Sandie - played by Taylor-Joy.

As the film goes on, Eloise begins to realise that the Swinging Sixties aren’t quite as glamorous as she imagines, and both past and present life begin to fall apart.

On October 20 the production company Focus Features released a teaser of Taylor-Joy's vocals as she sings a slowed down version of Petula Clark's classic 196 song 'Downtown'.

In the clip, released on YouTube, the 25-year-old sings the song in a studio, while snippets from the film play over the top.

Who are the big names involved?

Last Night In Soho is directed by Edgar Wright, who’s behind cult classics like Shaun Of The Dead and Baby Driver, so we’ve already got high expectations.

Taylor-Joy is also joined by a stellar cast including Matt Smith (who plays Sadie’s love interest, Jack), Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp and Michael Ajao.

When’s it out?

The film is dropping in UK cinemas on October 22, 2021, so get your popcorn ready (and FYI, this is a perfect Halloween flick).

Is there a trailer?

We’re pleased to announce there’s not one, not two, but three trailers for Last Night In Soho (we’re spoilt, we know).
