A new Android Nougat beta update has been released for registered Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge units. Meanwhile, Sony and Huawei are also rolling out their respective Nougat builds to their select smartphone models.

According to Sam Mobile, the latest Android Nougat beta build released for the 2016 flagship models is a hefty one – it’s more than 500MB in size. A screenshot of the Beta Notices that was posted on the report noted that this is the third Nougat beta update seeded since the Galaxy Beta Program began last month. Aside from enhanced features and stability improvements, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners participating in the program should also get the December security patch upon installing the newest Nougat beta version.

Furthermore, the new firmware adds the Samsung Note application and Samsung Pass. Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge’s Quick Panel should also have an auto brightness button after upgrading the beta version. The “Close All” button was also moved back to the bottom.

The Galaxy Beta Program made available for Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge provides a chance for registered participants to explore and test out the Android 7.0 Android Nougat OS on their smartphones. But according to a recent report from GSM Arena, the final Nougat release for the Galaxy S7 models is allegedly going to be a more advanced iteration, particularly the Android 7.1 version, which is currently found on Google’s Pixel devices.
