Although most travel plans have been postponed due to COVID-19, there's still the option to plan ahead for future visits to your favorite destinations. If you're a fan of rail travel via Amtrak, right now is an amazing opportunity to score train tickets for less, as the railroad service is currently offering up to 50% off fares for Black Friday.

Through Monday, November 30, Amtrak is running its “Track Friday Sale,” which features savings of up to 50% on a ton of popular routes nationwide. Starting at just $15 each way, discounted fares are available on both coach and Acela business class, and span routes all across the U.S. These tickets will be valid for travel between December 8 and April 30, 2021, and are automatically discounted, so you won't need a promo code to save.
Whether you're planning for city-to-city travel or a cross-continental trip, you can choose from a variety of super cheap routes, including New York to Washington, D.C. for $35 or Chicago to New York for $56. There's even longer trips to choose from as well, such as New York to Miami for $81 or Los Angeles to Seattle for just $63. Acela business fares also include New York to Boston for $49 and New York to Washington, D.C.
for $79.
Keep in mind, Amtrak has implemented enhanced health and safety protocols, including a mandated mask requirement, limited train occupation and frequent disinfection and sanitation practices. There's also a few key blackout dates to make note of: December 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28; January 3, 4, 19, 20 and 21; and April 2, 3, 4 and 5.
