America First Multifamily Investors (ATAX) Q1 Earnings and Revenues Beat Estimates

America First Multifamily Investors (ATAX) came out with quarterly earnings of $1.03 per share, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.31 per share. This compares to earnings of $0.27 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 232.26%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this provider of tax exempt financing for student housing, senior housing and multifamily housing would post earnings of $0.27 per share when it actually produced earnings of $0.33, delivering a surprise of 22.22%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

America First , which belongs to the Zacks Financial - Investment Management industry, posted revenues of $19.21 million for the quarter ended March 2022, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 11.02%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $14.4 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates two times over the last four quarters.

The sustainability of the stock's immediate price movement based on the recently-released numbers and future earnings expectations will mostly depend on management's commentary on the earnings call.
