Yahoo Finance Aaron Rodgers calls Shailene Woodley 'best thing,' says fatherhood is 'next great challenge'
Winning the NFL’s prestigious most valuable player award would most likely be the highlight of anyone’s year, but not for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
During an Instagram Live with Zenith Watches Thursday, Rodgers said proposing to actress Shailene Woodley was "the best thing that's happened to me in the last year."
"I'm recently engaged, so been enjoying that part of my life," Rodgers said to Zenith Watches CEO Julien Tornare after being named a brand ambassador in February.
Now that Rodgers has love and soon marriage, could a baby in a baby carriage be next? According to Rodgers, fatherhood is certainly in his future: "The next great challenge will be being a father."

"I'll look forward to taking care of another life at some point," Rodgers said. "I think it's gonna be so fun. I've dreamt about what that will be like, I'm really excited about that chapter whenever that comes."
However, Rodgers said parenthood is "maybe not in the immediate future."
Rodgers first announced he was engaged in February while accepting the 2020 NFL MVP award. Although he gave a special nod to his fiancee, he didn't identify her.
"It’s an honor to win this award for the third time," Rodgers said on Feb. 6. "2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped, playing for very little fans or no fans the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career."
Woodley confirmed she's engaged to Rodgers several weeks later during an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." But apparently, it's no big deal.
"Yes, we are engaged," Woodley told Fallon on Feb. 22. "But for us, it's not new news, you know? So it's kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while.'"
She continued: "I don't know him as a football guy. I know him as, like, the nerd who wants to host 'Jeopardy!' That's the dude I know."

Rodgers will be calling the shots on "Jeopardy!" and start his 10-show stint as guest host on April 5 following Alex Trebek's November death at 80 of pancreatic cancer.
On Thursday, the NFL star said he "had a blast" filming his episodes despite "the circumstances with Alex (Trebek) unfortunately succumbing to cancer."
"I loved it… It was one thing I was really looking forward to after the season," said Rodgers, who competed on "Celebrity Jeopardy!" in 2015. "I always wanted to come back."
He continued: "I was really honored to be there and felt like I did justice to his memory and tried to handle myself with as much respect for the job as possible because I love the show. And the show meant so much to so many of us who grew up watching it every night."
