A loved up Ethan and Fenisha are preparing for their wedding day under a shadow of uncertainty, due to his upcoming appointment about his Huntington's.

Having been abruptly called in by his consultant, Ethan is full of anxiety, but Fenisha insists that they focus on the wedding and their future together.

The pair then go their separate ways to get ready, with Fenisha preparing wedding favours in the Ambulance Station and Ethan contemplating whether or not to attend his appointment.

2. Matthew wrestles with his emotions

Matthew is still reeling from his split with Fenisha, which has been made all the more difficult due to all the wedding chat around the ED.

Needing a distraction, Matthew focuses his attention on his patient, Liza, who attempts to push her doting younger boyfriend Jimmy away because she's embarrassed about her age and its impact on her health.

However, when an undeterred Jimmy arrives in the ED with flowers for Liza, Matthew is inspired to fight for another chance with Fenisha after all.

3. Ethan reflects on the past

Ethan visits Cal's grave at the church where he's due to get married. He explains to his late brother all of the reasons why him and Fenisha would have gotten on so well, and explains how happy he is to have found her.

Emotional, Ethan realises that he needs to get answers about his Huntington's for Fenisha and Bodhi's sake, if nothing else.

Determined to face his fears, Ethan calls his consultant and heads to the ED for his appointment.

The Malinovsky family are in turmoil, with overbearing grandfather Alexei commenting on how the children are parented. Faith and Lev are at their wit's end, but the final straw comes when Alexei starts making personal comments about their son Luka.

Reminded of his own childhood, Lev snaps and tells Alexei that his plan to beat the supposed weakness out of him as a child didn't work. Lev also tells his father that it's time to be honest about who he really is – he's gay.

As Alexei directs more deplorable homophobic abuse at his son, Lev remains unfazed.

5. Fenisha risks missing her wedding

Stressed, Fenisha gives up on the wedding favours and calls a cab to take her to the ceremony. However, when it cancels last minute, Fenisha is forced to put out a general plea for a lift from any of her colleagues in the ED.

Jumping at the chance to be alone with her, Matthew agrees to take her...

Feeling emboldened following his showdown with his dad, Lev tells Faith that he's going to meet with Xander and head to the police station to tell the truth about the assault he's under caution for.

In the car after the police interview, Lev drops off Xander and they agree to go on a date the following day.

7. Dylan grows concerned about Ollie

David is distraught when Ollie is rushed into the ED with mystery symptoms once again.

With David adamant that Rash be taken off the case, it's down to Dylan to diagnose Ollie's condition once and for all. During the examination, Dylan can't help but notice a cut on Ollie's arm, which he claims to have cut on the side of his desk. However, Dylan isn’t buying his story.

Dylan is then forced to explain to a furious David that there's an epidemic of anxiety and self-harm amongst teenagers, and feels that a mental health assessment is the next logical step for Ollie.

8. Ollie's illness is finally diagnosed

Amid all of the chaos, Ollie attempts to get out of bed, but collapses into a seizure. As a result, Dylan orders Ollie an MRI, where he's revealed to have a Chiari malformation, meaning the lower part of his brain is pushing down into his spinal canal.

David is confident that this is the reason for all of Ollie's symptoms of late, but Dylan is still unsure.

Casualty airs these scenes at 9.30pm on Saturday, July 31 on BBC One.
