In testing, we found this older model to be sturdy and sufficient for a first-time user or someone looking for a device without a lot of bells and whistles. With its 7-inch display screen and expandable storage capabilities that it allow it to go from 16 gigabyte (GB) to 32GBs of storage to as much as 256GB with a microSD card, it's not a bad option.
It's significantly slower than the Fire HD 10 tablet, however, another one of our favorites that happens to be marked down. In testing, we were impressed with this pick, which is sturdily made and available in multiple colors. As the largest tablet in Amazon's fleet of Fire devices, it's a solid choice for screening video content and is capable of playing 1080-pixel videos with decent true colors and black levels. It also weighs just 17.4 ounces, which makes it highly portable. Similar to the Fire 7, this bad boy offers expandable storage of up to 512GB, meaning you can improve upon the 32GB or 64GB available with this gadget at purchase. Initially priced from $149.99, this tablet is on sale starting from $94.99, so you can get it for $55 off.
4. More than $250 in savings: This 4.5-star rated Acer laptop
The 4.5-star rated Acer Spin 5 was one of our Editors' Choice award winners for CES 2020, and for good reason: There's a lot to love about this zippy device. In testing, we relished how easy this handy little device made whipping up mouthwateringly good cold brew. Not only was it intuitive to use, it was also easy to clean and is dishwasher-safe.
