4 Drinks Starbucks Is Releasing In 2017
Starbucks has had quite a year. From the secret rainbow drink obsession to the green cup controversy, the company is now looking ahead to 2017. At the Starbucks Biennial Investor Day Conference - which went over developments to come in the next five years - the company discussed what's coming next.
The company is launching things like gluten-free breakfast sandwiches and new bistro boxes. The Starbucks Mobile App is even adding a feature that lets you order with voice command - kind of like the Siri of Starbucks - that they're calling My Starbucks barista.
But, what will you be drinking at Starbucks next year? Here are the four drinks to know about:
1. Cascara Latte
In January, Starbucks will introduce the Cascara Latte, which is inspired by the fruity outer skin of a coffee cherry. Starbucks says, "Cascara lends subtle notes of dark brown sugar and maple to classic Starbucks Espresso." This subtle-yet-sweet latte will be available for a limited time in 2017.
2. Smoked Butterscotch Latte
Starbucks first introduced the Smoked Butterscotch Latte for a limited time in February. The drink brought together espresso, steamed milk, smoked butterscotch sauce, and a smoky butterscotch topping. It quickly became popular with Harry Potter fans - who thought it tasted a lot like Butterbeer (if Butterbeer were caffeinated). The Smoked Butterscotch Latte will make its return in January, but once again, for a limited time.
3. Starbucks Cold Brew Cocoa and Honey with Cream
Prepare to see a lot more of Starbucks in select grocery stores next year, starting with the bottled Cold Brew Cocoa and Honey With Cream. The drink, which is literally Starbucks cold brew with a honey, cocoa, and cream, joins the bottled Starbucks Cold Brew that came out in July.
4. Teavana Craft Iced Teas
Brewed from Teavana teas with no artificial flavoring, Starbucks will introduce four flavors of bottled tea to select stores in 2017. The flavors include Pineapple Berry Blue Herbal Tea, Peach Green Tea, Mango Black Tea, and Passion Tango Herbal Tea.
