25 Highest-Paid Players in This Year’s Super Bowl

For NFL fans, it’s all been building to this. Super Bowl LIV is set for Sunday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. EST at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. On the off chance that you don’t have a ticket, TV coverage is on Fox. The San Francisco 49ers, led by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, will take on the Kansas City Chiefs, who have Patrick Mahomes at the helm. Even though Mahomes is grabbing headlines across the country for engineering astounding come-from-behind post-season victories, he doesn’t even make the list of the highest-earning 25 players on the two combined teams. According to average yearly salaries from the 2019-20 season, according to Spotrac, these are the players who are making major money on their teams.

Last updated: Jan. 24, 2020

Terrell Suggs: $5 Million per Year

His contract includes a $4 million signing bonus and guarantees him $7 million, all of which was due at signing. He was then released in December 2019 and was claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs. Now he gets a chance to play for a Super Bowl championship. Not bad for someone who was cut from a team.

Kyle Juszczyk: $5.25 Million per Year

  • Overall contract: $21 million

  • Team: San Francisco 49ers

  • Position: Fullback

Kyle Juszczyk came to San Francisco from Baltimore in 2017, when he signed a four-year deal that takes him through the 2020 season. He enters free agency in 2021. His contract includes a $5 million signing bonus and he’s guaranteed $9.75 million, $7 million of which was due at signing.

The deal pays him through the 2021 season, and he enters unrestricted free agency the following year.
