BMW 2017 Model Overview
For the 2017 model year, BMW debuts a completely redesigned 5 Series sedan and cancels the slow-selling Z4 sports car. Several model series receive new turbocharged 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder engines as well as naming convention changes, and next-generation iDrive 5.0 technology expands into nearly all BMW models.

230i has a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine
M240i has a turbocharged 6-cylinder engine
