2017 Audi Q7 recalled for moving seat
Yesterday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall of the Audi Q7 crossover to fix a problem with the vehicle's exterior lighting system. Today, NHTSA published another recall for the Q7 because of a faulty part that could increase the risk of injury to passengers during collisions.
The faulty part was manufactured by AMVIAN Automotive and is associated with the third-row seat. As a result, that seat back may not be strong enough to remain in place during a crash, which could have dire effects for vehicle occupants.

Thankfully, the fix is moderately simple and involves the installation of a support bracket to secure the third-row seat. Audi will mail recall notices to owners in October, asking them to take their Q7s to dealerships for service, which will be carried out free of charge.
The recall includes 2017 Audi Q7 vehicles built between August 30, 2015 and July 10, 2016. Audi says that the recall affects 19,205 vehicles in the U.S.
