2015 Honda HR-V Crossover SUV Confirmed at New York Auto Show

Honda did not physically display its new 2015 HR-V compact crossover SUV at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, but the company did distribute images of its new Fit-based model, which is scheduled to arrive in dealer showrooms during the coming winter.

Discussing the 2015 Honda HR-V and its 2015 Honda Fit platform donor vehicle, Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda automobile division for American Honda, said, "Both the Fit and HR-V demonstrate how great things can come in small packages, and no one does this better than Honda."

Characterizing the new Honda HR-V as "sleek" and "expressive," the company promised that the new small crossover SUV will provide a "versatile and spacious interior" and that it will include the same Magic Seat design that has made the Fit one of the most useful vehicles in its class.

The new Honda HR-V will be built alongside the Fit in the automaker's new Celaya, Mexico assembly plant. Further details about the new HR-V will be available closer to the crossover's official debut.
