Google has a new logo.

Good morning. Here's everything you need to know in the world of advertising today.

1. Google has a sleek new logo. The company says its new "simple, uncluttered, colorful, friendly" logo better reflects the different ways people interact with Google on their smartphones, watches, TVs, cars, or desktop computers.

2. Facebook's first 250 employees have a secret group called The Nouveau Riche 250. Many of the employees became millionaires after Facebook went public, and in the group they discuss what they plan to buy with their cash.

3. Two UK-based junior creatives say they came up with an idea in 2013 that is very similar to Burger King's "McWhopper" proposal. The creatives, who now work at ad agency DLKW Lowe, came up with the concept of getting a number of competing brands to come together on Peace One Day's annual September 21 celebration — which included the creation of a "Big Mac Whopper."

4. The former CEO of Beats Music left Apple for luxury conglomerate LVMH. Ian Rogers will become LVMH's chief digital officer.

5. Rocket Fuel has rejected a $258 million unsolicited takeover bid from Gravity4, the rival ad tech firm founded by former RadiumOne CEO Gurbaksh Chahal. As with Gravity4's previous bid for the company back in May, Rocket Fuel has responded by saying the proposal "does not constitute a credible offer."

6. Comcast has a plan to go after the cord-cutters. The TV giant's recent investments in media outlets like BuzzFeed and Vox, plus its YouTube-like video app and website show the direction it is traveling in order to attract younger customers.

7. McDonald's is introducing all-day breakfasts in the US later this year, Adweek reports. All-day breakfast will roll out nationwide on October 6.

8. A huge athletics brands is building a threat to Lululemon. New Balance is launching a new line and is planning to mail a catalog to more than 1 million US women.

9. A bunch of tech industry titans teamed up to fight for a new standard for online video. The Alliance for Open Media includes Amazon, Netflix, Cisco, Microsoft, Mozilla, Google, and Intel — but not Apple.

10. Ad tech company Rubicon Project reported an 88% lift in revenue to $53 million in its second quarter, with the company crediting an increase in the scale of its orders and an expansion of its mobile offering during the period. Adjusted EBITDA rose 148% to $6.7 million, but the company widened its net losses year-on-year from $2.7 million to $11.9 million.
