Focus Is on Dish’s Sling TV amid Weak Pay-TV Customer Growth
Like all satellite TV providers, Dish Network (DISH) has been witnessing a decline in its overall subscriber base for the past three years, mainly due to declining pay-TV subscriber numbers as the company continues to struggle with falling demand for its subscription-TV packages. In the third quarter, Dish Network posted a net loss of 367,000 DISH TV customers, and it lost ~341,000 pay-TV subscribers.
