Here's Why AT&T Is Rising Today

Here's Why AT&T Is Rising Today

The stock market was largely flat on Thursday morning as investors anxiously awaited news on the ongoing stimulus talks, but AT&T (NYSE: T) was a big standout. Given that we're well into earnings season, it probably won't come as a surprise that AT&T's third-quarter results are the reason for that share price move. The company met expectations for adjusted earnings of $0.76 per share, but its revenue figure came in about $800 million higher than analysts had anticipated.
