Facebook reportedly gets deeply personal info, such as ovulation times and heart rate, from some apps
Several apps share highly sensitive data with Facebook even if users do not have a Facebook account, testing by The Wall Street Journal finds. Among the apps sending information to Facebook are a period-tracking app, a heart-rate monitoring app and a homebuying app, the Journal says. Facebook has recently gotten in trouble with Apple for distributing an app that collected user activity from iPhones.
