    South Korea's Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) is in talks with the British government to build a nuclear power station off the coast of Wales, the Financial Times reported on Sunday. The state utility has held early-stage discussions with British officials at the Wylfa site in Anglesey, the newspaper said. Asked for comment, a Department for Energy Security and Net Zero spokesperson said Andrew Bowie, Britain's minister for nuclear and renewables, would meet KEPCO in London in the coming week without specifying the purpose.

    German aviation firm Lilium and Swiss-based nickel refinery company KL1 will set up new sites in France representing a combined investment of 700 million euros ($753.83 million), French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Sunday. Lilium will invest 400 million euros in a new factory that will create up to 850 new jobs. KL1's new site in Blanquefort, near Bordeaux, will amount to an investment of 300 million euros, creating 200 new jobs, Le Maire said.

    Kansas could soon offer up to $5 million in grants for schools to outfit surveillance cameras with artificial intelligence systems that can spot people carrying guns. The AI software must be patented, “designated as qualified anti-terrorism technology,” in compliance with certain security industry standards, already in use in at least 30 states and capable of detecting “three broad firearm classifications with a minimum of 300 subclassifications” and “at least 2,000 permutations,” among other things. Only one company currently meets all those criteria: the same organization that touted them to Kansas lawmakers crafting the state budget.
