United Arab Emirates national airline is selling some of of the world’s most expensive plane tickets, with some costing as much as US$38,000.

On Tuesday, Etihad Airways launched daily scheduled flights to India on its Airbus A380 network, which features the swanky, three-room luxury suite called “The Residence.” The airline says it is the first suite of its size on a commercial airliner.

One-way fares in the luxury accommodations will cost between US$5,000, for a flight from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai, and range as high as US$38,000 between New York and Mumbai.

According to The Daily Mail, the New York to Mumbai flight is the most expensive in the world.

Etihad’s A380 have space for 496 passengers, including up to two guests in The Residence.

The airline describes the extravagant rooms as an “ultra-private” suite, which includes a living room with a 32-inch TV, a bedroom with a double bed and a separate ensuite shower room. It also has some added perks, such as a personal butler and a private chef.

Etihad promises a “made-to-order dinning experience” using fresh ingredients for guests travelling in The Residence and first class.

Etihad isn’t the only airline to offer such extravagant suites. In fact, in a 2014 survey of the best first-class cabins, Singapore Suites, Cathay Pacific First Class Suites and Emirates First Class Suites all placed ahead of Etihad Diamond First.

young entrepreneur cashed in on more than 93,000 frequent-flier miles two years ago to pay for a $23,000 ticket between New York and Singapore with a private suite on a Singapore Airlines Airbus A380.

The suite featured a full-sized bed, TV, a leather armchair hand-stitched by a master Italian furniture maker.

They also provided endless lobster meals, Dom Perignon champagne, Givenchy pajamas, cologne and gourmet coffee.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways’ $4,000 first-class suites on its Airbus A380 jet, feature ultra-wide seats that can be converted into beds and 19-inch personal video screens.

Each passenger also gets their own Giorgio Armani and Christian Dior amenity kits.
