Tired of feeling like a under-appreciated cog in a wheel? Then maybe it's time to find a new job using a new guide of the best 100 places to work in Canada.
Global research and consultancy, the Great Place to Work Institute, used its so-called Trust Index to rank workplaces that offer excellent diversity in terms of size, sector, industry and location. On Wednesday, it released its survey of 57,000 Canadians.
The methodology is used by more than 6,000 organizations in almost 50 countries each year, says the institute.
The research firm says trust is the key ingredient to a great workplace. In a description on its website, the group breaks down why trust is so vital and puts it like this:
"Trust is the defining principle of great workplaces — created through management’s credibility, the respect with which employees feel they are treated, and the extent to which employees expect to be treated fairly," it says.
"The degree of pride and levels of authentic connection and camaraderie employees feel with one are additional essential components."
