McDonald’s fan travels the world collecting burger boxes

Serge Zaka, is a McDonald’s super-fan; so much so that he has collected more than 300 burger boxes from around the world.

FastandFood reports that Zaka, 26, says his McDonald’s travels are an ideal way to learn about the diversity of cultures.

“In France or Switzerland, for example, there are hamburgers to local cheeses. In India, the beef being scared, the chain has expanded its range of vegetarian or chicken burger,” Zaka told FastandFood in an interview.

“In Germany, the famous McSauerkraut with steak, three sausages and cabbage was offered in limited edition,” he adds.

So far, Zaka, who currently lives in France, has collected burger boxes from cities in Canada to India, and all points in between.

But with the Golden Arches being present in 119 countries, Zaka has his work cut out if he is to complete a truly global collection of boxes.

According to Mirror, he sometimes gets away without eating the contents if he shows his credentials to a store manager and is given an empty box to add to his growing collection.

But there are some challenges. Zaka admitted that when it comes to McDonald’s limited edition burgers it can be difficult. For example, he says he hopes to eventually get his hands on the box of the McRoyal from Portugal - a limited edition from the last World Cup.

In the future, Zaka plans to hold an exhibition so others can learn about the eating habits of McDonald’s menu around the world.
