| The investment seeks to capital appreciation The fund invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of U.S. companies with small market capitalizations. It invests assets in a diversified portfolio of equity securities including common stocks, preferred stocks and other domestically traded securities of foreign issuers which may constitute up to 20% of assets. The fund may also invest in debt securities convertible into common stocks, and may invest up to 5% of net assets in warrants and rights, and up to 15% of net assets in equity interests issued by real estate investment trusts.
