| The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund invests primarily in equity securities (mostly common stocks) of smaller and mid-sized companies that are either located outside the United States or whose primary business is carried on outside the United States. Smaller and mid-sized companies are companies with market capitalization (share price multiplied by number of shares outstanding), at the time of purchase, between $500 million and $17 billion. It normally invests at least 80% of net assets in equity securities. The fund invests no more than 20% of net assets in investments in developing countries. |
